Pediatrics & Neonatology

We Know How Much Your Child Means to You

When your child is sick, every minute feels long. You don't want to wait. You don't want confusing medical jargon. You just want a doctor who listens, understands, and helps your child feel better — fast.

That's exactly what our paediatric team is here for.

Our child specialists and newborn care doctors have one job — to keep your baby and child healthy, safe, and thriving. Whether it's a simple fever at midnight or a premature baby who needs intensive care, we are with you every step of the way.

Care for Your Newborn Baby

Bringing a baby home is one of the most beautiful — and nerve-wracking — experiences of life. Our newborn care team makes sure your baby gets the best possible start.

We look after:

  • Babies born early (premature babies) who need extra time and support to grow strong
  • Babies with low birth weight — small babies need special feeding and warmth
  • Newborn jaundice — very common, very treatable. We use safe light therapy to bring those bilirubin levels down quickly
  • Babies with breathing difficulties right after birth
  • Newborns who aren't feeding well — we help both baby and mother get breastfeeding right
  • Birth vaccinations — BCG and Hepatitis B given safely on day one as recommended

If your baby needs closer monitoring, our NICU (Newborn Intensive Care Unit) is equipped and staffed 24/7 by experienced neonatologists who treat your baby like their own.

Everyday Child Health — We've Got It Covered

From the common cold to something that worries you more — bring your child to us. Our paediatricians see children from newborn up to 18 years of age.

We regularly help children with:

  • Fever, cold, cough, and throat infections
  • Loose motions, vomiting, and tummy aches
  • Ear infections and eye infections
  • Skin rashes, allergies, and eczema
  • Chest infections and breathing problems
  • Worm infestations and anaemia
  • Poor appetite and slow weight gain
  • Recurrent infections — children who fall sick too often

No concern is too small. If something doesn't feel right about your child, trust your instincts and come see us.

Vaccinations — Protect Your Child Before They Fall Sick

Vaccines are one of the greatest gifts you can give your child. They protect against serious diseases that can cause real harm — or worse.

At Apex Balaji Hospital, we follow the Indian Academy of Paediatrics (IAP) vaccination schedule and maintain a complete vaccination record for every child so you always know what's due next.

We give all recommended vaccines including: Polio, BCG, Hepatitis B, DPT, MMR, Typhoid, Chickenpox, Pneumococcal, and HPV for teenage girls — all administered safely by trained staff.

Is Your Child Growing Well?

Growth is not just about height and weight. It's about whether your child is hitting the right milestones — sitting, standing, walking, talking — at the right time.

At every visit, our doctors track:

  • Height, weight, and head size plotted on growth charts
  • Whether your child is meeting developmental milestones for their age
  • Vision and hearing
  • Eating habits and nutritional needs
  • For teenagers — puberty, mental health, and overall wellbeing

Catching a problem early — whether it's poor nutrition, a hearing issue, or a developmental delay — makes all the difference.

When Your Child Has Breathing Problems

In a city like Greater Noida, respiratory issues in children are very common. Many parents don't realise that recurrent cough, especially at night, could be asthma.

We help children with:

  • Asthma — diagnosis, inhaler training, and long-term care so your child can run, play, and live normally
  • Frequent chest infections and bronchitis
  • Allergic cough and runny nose that just won't go away
  • Wheezing in babies and toddlers

With the right treatment, most children with asthma live completely normal, active lives.

My Child Isn't Talking Yet — Should I Worry?

Speech delay, walking late, not making eye contact, difficulty sitting still in school — these are things parents notice but often hesitate to bring up with a doctor.

Please don't wait. Early support for developmental concerns gives children the best chance to catch up and thrive.

We gently evaluate and support children with:

  • Speech and language delays
  • Late walking or motor development
  • ADHD — difficulty focusing or sitting still
  • Autism — early screening and guidance
  • Learning difficulties in school
  • Sleep problems and behavioural concerns

Frequently Asked Questions

My newborn has yellow skin. Is jaundice dangerous?
Mild jaundice in newborns is very common and usually clears up on its own. But if the yellow colour is spreading or getting darker, get your baby checked immediately. We measure bilirubin levels and start light therapy the same day if needed. With timely treatment, babies recover completely.
My 18-month-old isn't walking yet. Is that normal?
Most babies walk between 12–15 months, but some take until 18 months. If your child is not walking by 18 months, it's worth a check-up. Our doctor will assess whether it's just a slight delay or something that needs early support. Either way, you'll leave knowing exactly what to do next.
How often should I bring my healthy child for a check-up?
In the first year, we recommend visits at birth, 6 weeks, 10 weeks, 14 weeks, 6 months, 9 months, and 1 year. After that, once a year is ideal — even if your child seems perfectly healthy. Prevention is always better than cure.
My child gets fever every month. Why does this keep happening?
Frequent infections are common in children who attend playschool or have older siblings — they're constantly exposed to new germs. But if your child falls sick more than 8–10 times a year, or infections are severe, it's worth investigating. We check for nutritional deficiencies, immunity issues, or hidden infections that could be making this worse.
Can I give my child Calpol at home for fever?
es — paracetamol (Calpol) is safe when given in the right dose based on your child's weight. But if the fever is above 102°F, lasts more than 2 days, or your child looks very unwell — please come to us. Don't rely only on medicines at home.
